Graveside Committal Services for Thomas and Hazel Joos Hunt will be conducted Thursday, July 11, 2002, at the Medina Cemetery in Medina, N.D.
Mr. Hunt, 90, of Corcoran and formerly of San Luis Obispo, Calif., died Saturday, June 29, 2002, at the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Wayzata.

He was born Feb. 20, 1912 in Bakersfield, Calif., the son of Rosco and Bess Aston Hunt.

On Jan. 10, 1938, Thomas A. Hunt and Hazel Joos were joined in holy marriage. Hazel Joos Hunt preceded her husband in death Oct. 5, 1998.

Mr. Hunt was a former longtime brakeman and conductor with the Southern Pacific Railroad. He retired from the railroad following 41 years of service.

He was a 50 member of Zion Lutheran Church in San Luis Obispo and through the years he was very active in all church activities. Mr. Hunt also belonged to the San Luis County Historical Society

He is survived by a niece Goldine Knudson of Corcoran and family Lynn, Kim and Casey Knudson all of Rogers and Allison; nephews Lester Joos of Minneapolis and fiancee Jill Waterhouse with Jessica Barber Joos and family, Jim (Donna) Hunt of Santa Ana, Calif., Paul (Desnee) Joos of Bellevue, Wash. and Bruce Joos of Renton, Wash. and families; a sister-in-law: Jane Hunt of Santa Ana, Calif.

In addition to his loving wife Hazel Joos Hunt, Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his parents Rosco and Bess Hunt and by brother William Hunt.
