    Born October 18, 1888 in Sprongfield, Missouri, Emulus Roy Brown moved to the Kendrick area with his parents, John and Martha (Woodward) Brown, when he was six months old. John F. Brown was at one time the postmaster (1916-24) and mayor of Kendri ck (1911-15)
