    Settled in Orange County, N. C. - numerous deeds of record from 1782 to 1803.

    Moved to Williamson Co., Tenn., about 1810 and built his home "The Meeting of the Waters" at the fork of the West and Big Harpeth Rivers, on Del Rio Pike, 5 miles S.W. of. Owned several thousand acres in Middle Tenn. and several hundred slaves.
