  • Note:
    Christopher died in 1826, leaving Prudence with five children in poverty.

    1830-- Sarah Ann listed in Orphan Courts as poor.

    1833-- married Francis B. Collins and went to Harper's Ferry, Petersburg,Virginia, leaving Sarah Ann with a cousin, Bertle Shee, in Philadelphia.

    Baptized Roxburgh Baptist Church, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania November 20, 1831. According to William Decatur Kartchner's journal, Christopher was an infidel and would not allow his family to attend sectarian meetings. She was excluded from the church January 18, 1840.

    Prudence applied for Christopher pension from service in the war of 1812, and received 246 acres in Powesheik, Jasper, Iowa.

    Buried McKeever Cemetery, Jasper, Iowa.
