A native of Charleston, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1941, Pete passed away on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at 90 after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Aug. 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then again on Monday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dale Phillips. Interment will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park. He served proudly in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. Pete was retired from F. G. Sullivan Contractors, a member of Comite Baptist Church and a charter member of the C.B.C Lamplighters. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wiley and Clara Eugenia Fedric; brothers, Dan, Flexix and Marshall "Bo" Fedric; and a sister, Francis Fedric Garvin. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Velton M. "Vel" Fedric; two children, son, John Earl and wife Jennie P. Fedric, daughter Mary and husband Keith Langlois; four grandchildren, Jason Fedric, Jacy Grossman, Lucas and Jordy Langlois; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Marshall, Michael and Jason Fedric, Mike Grossman, Lucas and Jordy Langlois. Special thanks to aides Lillie and Margaret for their loving care and the staff of Amedisys Hospice Care.
