That William Henry Henderson is the son of Hiram Henderson and Margaret Watt has not be confirmed. However, their graves are adjacent in the Yanceyville Presbyterian Church Cemetery and they are shown as living in the same household in the 1860 US Census (Caswell County, North Carolina). William Henry Henderson is listed as a physician, is 30 years old, with M. J. Henderson (25), G. Henderson (5), and L. F. Henderson (3) also listed.
The 1870 US Census (Caswell County, North Carolina) shows 82-year-old Hiram Henderson living in the household of 42-year-old William Henderson and his wife Mary (born in Virginia; 37-years-old). Three children are listed: Gertrude (15); Fletcher (12); and Maggie (7). A Priscilla Jones (82) also is listed.
Near to the Henderson graves in the Yanceyville Presbyterian Church Cemetery is the gravestone of one Priscilla J. Jones, wife of Dr. Willie Jones. She was born 10 Oct 1818, and died 11 Jun 1889. It is possible that Dr. William Henry Henderson practiced medicine with Dr. Willie Jones and the widow Jones lived on with Dr. Henderson after her husband died. This is, however, speculation.
