Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Lindell Canty, 65, of 255 South 7th Ave, Yanceyville, NC, who died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at his residence. He was a native of Lackawanna, New York, the son of the late William Crosby and Anna Canty Briggs; born November 1, 1941. He was a member of Pearson Chapel A.M.E. Church and was a self-employed truck driver before retirement. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Cykeithia Salley; and 1 grand child.

His survivors are wife, Mrs. Russell McAden Canty of the home; 2 sons, Lindell Canty Jr. and Mark Canty of Maryland; 4 daughters, Bonita Canty of Jessup, MD, Tracey McCaden and Vashon Canty both of Yanceyville, NC and Vickie Steward of Maryland, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; 3 God children; 1 sister-in-law; Rachael McCaden of Yanceyville, NC; 4 aunts; 2 uncles; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Lindell Canty was Sunday, March 18, 2007, 3:00 P.M. at Pearson Chapel A.M.E. Church. Interment was in the church cemetery; Minister, Rachel McCaden delivered the eulogy. All arrangements for Mr. Lindell Canty were entrusted to Fulton Funeral Home, 219 Dillard School D., Yanceyville, NC
