  Mr. & Mrs. Newton Celebrate Golden Anniversary Sunday
  
  Mr. and Mrs Robert (Bob) D. Newton, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday December 14, at their home in the Bushy Fork Community. Decorations of yellow chrysanthemums and pon pons were used throughout the house. Dinner was served to approximately one hundred friends and relatives of the couple. The highlight of the evening was the reading of the wedding by their pastor the Rev. Charles A. Stevens. The clipping was taken from a 1902 issue of the Roxboro Courier. Mr. and Mrs. Newton received many nice and useful gifts. The guests departed wishing them many more years together.
