Note: HAMMOCK, CONNIE STANLEY Connie Stanley Hammock, age 84, of the Life Care Center in Wartburg, Tenn., and formerly of Pine Hill, died May 28, 1995. Born in Scott County, Tenn., August 2 1910, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Nancy Cross Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded also in death by her husband, Fred Hammock. She was a housewife and homemaker most of her life and a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Freddie Hammock Smith and husband, Ken of Hixon, Tenn.; four sons: Charles Hammock and wife, Betty of Pine Hill; O.E. Hammock and wife, Dorma of Chattanooga; Bill Hammock and wife, Shirley of Corryton, Tenn., and Stanley Joe Hammock and wife, Barbara of Kingston, Tenn.; nine grandchil-dren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ovie Stanley and Tilman Stanley, both of Pine Hill; one sister, Cordelia Reynolds of High Point, several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted May 31, at the Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. A.V. Stanley officiating. Pine Hill Singers sang. Interment followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Lloyd, Miller "Bud" McDonald, Junior Stanley, R.L. Forbis, Milford Stanley and Paul Dean Adkins. West-Murley Funeral Home of Oneida was in charge of arrangements. (IH, 1995)

LITTON and the late ELLA KIDD LITTON and was also preceded indeath by husbands, CLAUDE HOLT and ANDY MASSENGALE: two brothers, W.H.and LLOYD LITTON; five sisters, LURIE TERRY, DELLA GARRETT, ALICE BOWDEN,EMILY SMITH, and JUDITH SHARFE; one step-granddaughter, JOYCE HENRY, andone granddaughter, JULIE HERMAN. She was a member of the New RiverMissionary Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters, DORMAHAMMOCK and husband O.E., ELLA SEXTON, and BETTY BROOKS and husbandHAROLD of Oneida, and BARBARA HAMMOCK and husband STANLEY JOE ofKingston; one son, WILLIAM BILL HOLT and wife LAURIE of Fayeville, Ga.,two sisters, EDITH ARMSTRONG and CHRISTINE SHARFE; one brother, GEORGEBUD LITTON; ten grandchildren; six step-granddaughters; twelvegreat-grandchildren; three step-great-granddaughters; onestep-great-grandson; and many other relatives and friends. Funeralservices were held on Tuesday, February 25, at 8 p.m. in the chapel ofFour Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida, with Bro. DELMER KEETON and Bro. ROBERTKING officiating. Special music was provided by the Black Oak BaptistChurch visitation choir and CHRISTINE BOYATT. Burial was held onWednesday, February 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the Black Oak Cemetery. Servingas pallbearers were MARK HAMMOCK, JOHN WILSON, BILL HERRMANN, MATTHERRMANN, JIM PHILLIPS, and DEWAYNE PERRY. Four Oaks Funeral Home ofOneida was in charge of arrangements.
