Note: Obituary in The Overton County News 17 Mar 2011 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Lee (Eldridge) Ledbetter, 75, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home, with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Burial was in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Ledbetter died Saturday, March 5, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a garment factory worker and member of Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Born November 27, 1935 in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Susie Elvise (McDonald) Eldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leicel Ledbetter; a daughter, Annette Threet; 4 sisters, Myrtle Brown, Hassie Swallows, Etta Jane Ledbetter, and Linnie Belle Danner; and a brother, J .B. Ledbetter. Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Anderson and Deborah Ledbetter, both of Livingston; 4 grandchildren, Garrick Anderson, and his wife Kim, Heather Anderson, Steven Goodpasture, and Brad Goodpasture; and 5 great-grandchildren, Joshua Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Hayley Anderson, and Seth Cunningham. Pallbearers were Joshua Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Garrick Anderson, Doug Boles, Steven Goodpasture, Brad Goodpasture, Danny Brown, Donald Brown, and Doug Brown. Special care provided by Speck Funeral Home.
