LORENZO (Special) Services for S. E. O'Rear, 83, of Lorenzo will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lorenzo Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Craven, pastor of New Testament Baptist Church in Lubbock, officiating.
Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
He died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Lubbock's Covenant Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 23, 1916, in Desdemona. He graduated from Lorenzo High School in 1936 and married Bernice Loraine Sechrist on Oct. 23, 1943, in Abernathy. She died Sept. 23, 1986.
He was a member of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church. He owned and operated the corner store in Lorenzo, which is now Pay N'Save. He was a member of the Lorenzo Masonic Lodge.
Survivors included a son, Sam O'Rear of New Deal; a daughter, Doris Hall of Ralls; a brother, George Grady O`Rear; six grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
