    The marriage of ElizabethPowell and George Willcockson occurred on the 15th of the 02nd month, 1719 at Haverford Monthly Meeting in Chester County:(11)

    Whereas George Wilcockson,son of John Wilcockson of Nottinghamshire, Great Britain, Batchelor, and Elizabeth Powell, daughter of Rowland Powell of the Township of Haverford in the County of Chester in the Province of Pensylvania Spinster, Having declared their Intentions of Marriage before Severall Monthly Meetings of the People called Quakers according to the good Order used among them whose proceedings therein after a deliberate Consideration thereof and having Consent of Parents and Relations concerned nothing appearing to Obstruct were Left to their freedom to proceedby the Said Meetings, Now these are to Certifie to whom it may concern that for the full accomplishing of their said Intentions this fifteenth day of the Second Month (called Aprill) in the year One Thousand Seven hundred and nineteen They the said George Wilcockson and Elizabeth Powell appeared at a publick Assembly of the. sd people at their publick meeting at Haverford aforesd. And the sd. George Wilcockson takeing the sd. Elizabeth Powell by the hand did in a Solemn manner openly declare yt. he tooke her to be his wife promiseing with Gods Assistance to be unto her a faithfull and Loving husband till death Should Seperate ym., And then & there in ye. sd. Assembly the sd. Eliza, Powell did in like manner declare that She tooke ye. sd. Geo. Wilcockson to be her husband promiseing with God's Assistance to be unto him a faithfull and Loving wife untill death should Seperate ym. And Moreover the sd. Geo. Wilcockson and Elizabeth Wilcockson (She according to ye. Custom of Marriage Assuming ye. name of her husband) as a further confirmation thereof did to these presents sett their hands, Andwe whose names are hereunder written being among others present at ye. Solemnization of their sd. Marriage & Subscription in manner aforesd. As Witnesses thereunto have also to these presents Sett our hands the Day & year above written
