The family Mancarz is believed to be the offspring of a Bonnecage family, who would have lived in Provence in the late 18th century. A family story says that the first Bonnecage who came to Poland was a Napoleonic soldier returning from the failed French campain in Russia in 1812. He would have settled in the area of Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Judging upon the dates of births he must have been the father of the first Mancarz known to me from verified sources. As I am not in possession of any documents concerning Stanislaw Mancarz or his parents, I cannot verify this information.
- Stanislaw Mancarz b: AFT 1812
