    BYERS - Thelma V. "Tommy," 89, Davidsville, went to be with her Lord Aug. 13, 2004, at home. Born Dec. 8, 1914, in Johnstown, the daughter of John L. and Verna E. (Roudbush) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents; two sisters, Beulah Cummings and Olive Cummings; two brothers, Floyd and Richard; and husband, Harry Byers. Survived by stepchildren, Anna Harker, Davidsville; Boyd Byers, Johnstown; Esther Hunter, Windber; and William Byers, Johnstown; stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. Sister of Mary Flora Miller, Bedford. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Nevada Miller, Virginia; Verl, and wife, Pam Miller, and daughter, Nicole, all of Everett; and Lloyd Miller, Bedford; and several other nieces and nephews. She was a member of Jerome Church of the Nazarene. She was a retired nurse's aide from Memorial Medical Center and a member of Hollsopple Senior Citizens. Family receiving friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Robert Williams. Interment, Mount Carmel Cemetery.
