DAVID LIVINGSTON, Aged 89 Yrs, Is Called By Death. Veteran Moxham Resident Was Soldier in Civil War in the 60's. Funeral On Sat. DAVID LIVINGSTON, a well-known Moxham Civil War veteran, whose health had been impaired for a long time, died. last eve 6 Apr 1930 at his home, 822 Central Ave., 17th Ward, aged 89 yrs. His death was due to a complication of diseases. DAVID LIVINGSTON was born. May 5, 1841, in Foustwell, Somerset Co., where his ancestors settled many yrs ago. His grandfather & namesake was a soldier in the Rev. War under Washington & resided in Somerset Co. for a long time after the close of the war of 1776. DAVID LIVINGSTON, the subject of this sketch, was a farmer near Foustwell for many yrs before locating in Moxham 8 yrs ago. He was married. twice, His 1st wife, RACHEL (HOLSOPPLE) LIVINGSTON, died. 23 yrs ago. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. ANNIE E. (SIDMAN) LIVINGSTON, & the following children by the 1st union: MRS. Kate DEARMEY, 737 Coleman Ave.; AMANDA, wife of JACOB REAM, Foustwell; CHARLES LIVINGSTON, Clark St., Hooversville; MRS. N.J. VIRGIN, Foustwell; MRS. EVA WEAVER, David St., Dale; & MRS. SARAH OTT, Holsopple. A Daughter., MRS. RACHEL CABLE, of Foustwell, preceded her father to the grave. He is survived by 44 grandchildren, 88 great-grand- children & 2 great-great-grandchildren. During the Civil War He served in Co. C, 52d Reg., P.V.I., under Col. John Dodge, Jr., who had previously served as Capt. in the 11th PA Regt. was identified with Emory Fisher Post No.30, G.A.R., & for many yrs looked after the placing of flags on the graves in Foustwell & other parts of Somerset Co. for the local post during the observance of Memorial Day. 4 of his grandsons served in WWI. The body was taken to the Ott home in Holsopple today. The funeral services, which will be in charge of the officers of Emory Fisher Post, will be held in the Un. Breth. Church there at 2pm Sat. with interment in the Foustwell Cem. The ministers who are to take part in the services are Rev. G.E. Smith of Holsopple, & Rev. H.A. Buffington of Conemaugh.
