Note: Johnstown Tribune, March 3, 1913 Aged David Hoffman Dies in Richland Nonagenarian Passes Away at Home of His Son-In-Law, Felix Rively David HOFFMAN, on of the oldest residents of Cambria County, expired of general debility at 3 o'clock this morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Felix Rively, of Richland Township , at the age of 94 years. The deceased was born in Somerset County on November 29, 1818, but spent most his life in this county. His wife, Mrs. Mary NOON HOFFMAN, died in this vicinity 20 years ago. Mr. HOFFMAN is survived by a son and two daughters, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The son is Amos HOFFMAN of Langham, Indiana County; the daughters are Mrs. Scott MILLER, of Dale Borough and Mrs. Felix RIVELY at whose home he died. Mrs. Elizabeth H. TREFTS, of 315 Bedford street was a sister of Mr. HOFFMAN. The funeral will probably be held on Wednesday from the Mount Carmel United Brethren Church, where the services will be conducted by the Rev. J. J. Mills of the Sidman U. B. Church. David HOFFMAN was a farmer and a member of the United Brethren denomination.
