    Johnstown Tribune, Dec. 17, 1928
    William Bloom, aged 62 years, who had bene ill for a long time, died Saturday night at his home near Elton, Adams Township. He was born in Germany May 7, 1866, a son of the late Nicholas and Catherine Lutz Bloom. Mr. Bloom was a brother of John Bloom and Mrs. mary meyers, both residing near Elton. A sister, Mrs. Catherine Hack, and four brothers, Jacob, George, Leonard and Henry Bloom, preceded him to the grave. Mr. Bloom was married twice, his first wife being the late Araminta Dull. By this union fivr children survive - Carl, Ervin, Harvey, Bernard and Lillian. Three children of the first marriage are dead - Rolla, Ida and Alvin. A grandchild also survives. Mr. Bloom is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret (Daily) Bloom, and the following children to this union: Mrs. kenneth Stull, Sylvia, George and Anson Bloom. The funeral home will leave the Bloom home at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon for the Dunmyre Lutheran Church at Elton, where services will be conducted by the Rev. John A. Richter, of Scalp Level. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
