  • Note: «b»McDONOUGH, Sheila (Mitchell)«/b» - (member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved mother and grandmother, Sheila, on Sunday, May 3, 2010 at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Michael Vincent (1995) and her son Michael John (2005). Loved mother of Patrick "Patty" and his wife Katrina. Cherished grandmother of Jordan and Kayla. Dear sister of Alex Mitchell (Ann) and predeceased by siblings Eddie and David Mitchell and Patricia Saunders. Remembered by her daughter in law Cathy and sisters in law Helen Mitchell, Josie Mitchell, and brother in law Doug Saunders. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy St.) on Wednesday, May 5 from 7 - 9 p.m. Liturgy of the Word Service in Our Chapel on Thursday, May 6 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation will follow with the burial of the urn in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. For those wishing, donations made to the UHKF - Cancer Centre Building Fund would be appreciated by her family. A special thank you to Doctor Ivan Stewart, the nursing team and staff at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital for the loving care and dedication. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies Auxiliary will gather at the Funeral Home, Wednesday evening at 7 for the Legion Service. 1
