Mrs. Cora Belle Bjornsgaard, Skamokawa, Washington, died July 10 at the Columbia View Nursing Home in Cathlamet. She was born in Monroe, Oregon, March 30, 1885, and came to Sawdust Island, outside Skamokawa, with her parents in 1894. Later they moved to a farm at Missouri Flats in East Valley. Her husband preceded her in death October 31, 1957. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Byrne of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Clara Sundbom of Skamokawa; one son, William A. Bjornsgaard of Clatskanie; five grand children and eleven great grand children; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Slayton and Mrs. Clara Olson of Skamokawa and a half-brother, Fred Crystal also of Skamokawa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, at 1:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Skamokawa with Rev. John Freeman officiating. Interment will be at Fern Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dowling Funeral Home.
