Note: 1804 - 1819 Redden HALL received 96 acres on a Branch of Mountain Creek, Saluda River, South Carolina, Recorded Book G page 163. Redding HALL was in a land lottery draw 1 Mar 1836 Res. Covington County, Alabama SW1/4 of SE1/4 Sec. 12, T6, R17. In 1830 he purchased land in Rose Hill and Hopewell Church area. Covington County was created 18 Dec 1821. It lay length-wise along the north line of Florida and included all the county of Coffee, Most of Dale County, Geneva County, as well as part of Crenshaw County. Grants taken from the original Sparta Tract Book. The Land Office was opened in 1822 at Sparta the county seat of Conecuh County, Alabama then the land was surveyed and ready for sale in 1823. 1840 Redin a farmer and spouse were in Pike County, AL, for the U.S. Census with 3 young female children on page 386. 17 October 1850 Reddin b.SC & Sarah are in Montgomery Co., AL, for the US Census (2nd Dist., p 173b, family & house 319).
