Harmony was the ninth child of Henry Blay and Adeline Walkley. At 15 years of age he began work for Stephens, Jacques and Stephens and continued with them for a period of thirty three years. He gave his occupation as a Clerk at the time of his marriage to Alice and was living at Crown Rd., Ultimo.
In 1916 Harmony was a Law Clerk and acted as Executor of the will for his uncle, Harmony Blay. He was living at "Harmony", 117 Dalhousie St, Haberfield in 1916. He moved to the Tumbarumba district and settled with his son in Manus where he became a Farmer.
Harmony and Alice had nine children.
At the time of his retirement Harmony had become Chief Conveyancer, Harmony was 63 years old when he died after a short illness. The cause of death was a Cerebral Thrombosis and Arteriosclerosis.
