    BIOGRAPHY:
"Enoch Badger, son of Jonathan, who was a Revolutionary soldier. was b. in Connecticut; m. Myra Billings of Hartland, where he lived many years" [Child's Gazetteer(p209)]
"His eldest son, Enoch [Jr] m. Sally B. Blodgett" [Child's Gazetteer(p209)]
    "b. Ct" [1850 census]
"Amasa[error for Jonathan] Badger moved to Barnet from Connecticut at an early day and built the first sawmill in that town ... His son Enoch born ... ab 1781 ... son Charles W now resides [Danville] on road 68" [Child's 1887 Gazetteer(p180)]
The 1923 "History of Barnet, Vermont" (p82) states that the first saw mill in Barnet was built in 1771 at the foot of the falls in what is now Barnet Village; but it does not say by whom.
When an Amassa and a Jonathan Badger, both with families, were "warned out of town" in 1810, the precepts were delivered to them at Randall's Mill, which is more likely the sawmill refered to 75 years later in the Gazetteer.

    BURIAL:
Enoch's PlaceOfBurial is unknown. A grave-by-grave search of all the large and small and private cemeteries in 2004 failed to locate a gravestone for him in Barnet, Burke, Cabot, Danville, Irasburg, Lyndon, Peacham, St Johnsbury, Stannard, or Walden. His 1st wife is buried with the Pettengill family in South Danville in a raised plot, there is no sign that anyone was ever buried next to her; his 2nd wife is buried in Hartland with her 1st husband, there is no stone for him there either.

This database now contains all Badger data from the VtVitalRecord Index Cards on file at the State Archives, Middlesex, Vt thru 1870 and all VVRdr's thru 1907. As such, there are many "unconnected" individuals. Where I have found relationships that SEEM appropriate, but are without substantiation, I have listed the relationship to parents as "challenged" with a note listing why I suspected the relationship. If you have found any proofs and/or disproofs, please let me know.
