His will is in Lincoln County, Tenn. recorded 1812 mentioning wife Grizel, and children but not naming them. He named as executors his wife Grizzel, William Sims (his brother), and Benjamin Murrell (husband of his sister Mary "Mollie" ).
After the death of Parish Sims, Grizel married Judge William Cocko, from Hawkins County, Tenn. and with most of her children moved to Monroe County, Miss. where she died in 1820 and was buried in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, Miss. where her second husband William Cocko is buried also. Note: Columbus, Mississippi was in Monroe County until 1830 when Lowndes County was formed.
