    MILITARY: Private, Co. B, 89th OVI, enlisted August 8, 1862 for three years; absent without leave from March 18, 1863 to August 19, 1863; transferred to Co. I, 31st OVI on July 5, 1865 for Courts Martial for desertion. Guilty of A.W.O.L.(he had returned to his unit and fought with it to the end of the war) , forfeit 2 months pay & all allowances, 6 mos. pay proper Good time lost 3 mos. & 19 days. Was hospitalized May 14,1864 in Nashville. Tenn. for pneumonia. Discharged at Columbus, Ohio on July 22, 1865.

    PENSION: # 321.974 At time of filing Declaration for Pension, 17 May 1912, Enos was a resident of the State Soldiers Home in Erie County, Ohio.

    LAND: August 16, 1871 Enos and Phebe Townsley sold for $50.00 one acre of land bordering Ten Mile Creek in Pierce Twp. to brother Thomas Townsley.
