[The Seneca Cou nty cemetery listing has: FISK James, Sept. 5, 1846, 68 yrs. and (11 mo.-h and written)*] From an affidavit dated September 24, 1846 presented to the Sur rogate, "Seneca County ss: Sally Fisk of the town of Junius in said county of Seneca, being duly sworn, says that her husband James Fisk, late of Junius aforesaid,, deceased, died a natural death on the fifth day of September ins tant in the said town of Junius in the county of Seneca, where he resided pre vious to and at the time of his death; That said deceased died intestate, hav ing no last will or testament; That the said deceased died having this depone nt Sally Fisk, his widow residing in the town of Junius aforesaid, and nine c hildren his only heirs at law and next of kin whose names and places of resid ence are as follows viz. Hiram Fisk residing in the town of Butler in the cou nty of Wayne, New York, Eliza Watson, wife of Silvanus Watson residing in Gal en, Sumner Fisk residing in Savannah, John Fisk and David Fisk residing in Ly ons, all in said county of Wayne, Jabez Fisk residing in Junius aforesaid and Barbara Moore wife of Edmund Moore and James Fisk, Jr. residing in Munson, G eauga county Ohio; That the above named are all and the only heirs at law and next of kin of the said James Fisk deceased, and are all of lawful age; Th at the said deceased left personal property not exceeding in value the sum of six thousand dollars. Sally Fisk (L.S.) Sworn and subscribed to this 24th da y of September 1846 before me, John Morgan Surrogate (L.S.)". "To John Morga n Surrogate of Seneca Co., The undersigned Sally Fisk widow of James Fisk lat e of Junius in the county of Seneca, deceased, hereby applies to said Surroga te of Letters of Administration of and upon the goods chattels and credits fo r her said deceased husband, and hereby requests and consents that Orin South wick of Junius aforesaid be joined with her in the taking of such Letters of Administration and in the administration of the estate of her said deceased h usband. Sally Fisk (L.S.) In the presence of John Morgan (L.S.)". Sally Fis k and Orin Southwick were appointed administratrix and administrator on Septe mber 24, 1846.
