    [Jellis A. Fonda, RWPA #S10684: born in Schenectady on October 25, 1759. He died on August 27, 1834 and is buried in Schenectady's Vale Cemetery (HSDRW). In the spring of 1780, he was enrolled in COL Morris Graham's Regiment of Levies for four months. In the Mohawk Valley Partisans spring of 1781, he entered COL Marinus Willett's Regiment and served therein until November 1, 1781. While thus engaged he served at Fort Plain, Fort Paris, Fort Plank, Fort Herkimer, and other places. On the first of November 1781, he was promoted to the rank of captain in Lieutenant COL Willett's Regiment and thus served till the war's end. He fought in the Battles of Turlough and Johnstown. His file contains a deposition by Daniel Darrow. Fonda mentions his presence at Fort Plank in the files of John McIntosh, Simon J. Vrooman, and Garret S. Veeder]
