Note: Dorothy and her family moved to Bond Street, Mosman when she was 17 - that is when Dot met her future husband, Frank Stacey, who lived in the house on the corner of Bond Street and Ourimbah Road (opposite the shop).
Dot would play the family Pianola and it is thought she was most likely taught by her grandfather Robert Taylor, who was a Music Teacher (and also a Master Hairdresser and Tobaconnist).
After raising her children, Dot worked in the Canteen at the 1st Army Barracks in Bradley's Head Road, Mosman. She then worked at 'Minty's Haberdashery' in Spit Junction, Military Road, Mosman (which is now 'Lovell's) until her retirement.
Dot was cremated at Northern Suburbs Crematorium, Dehli Road, North Ryde and her ashes buried at Base Plate No.10)
