He was in Iredell Co NC in 1800 and 1810, and Clark Co IN 1820, yet his daughter was married in KY in 1805. He must have moved back and forth. Truman?s daughter Pressha m Francis K Porter, whose sons by a first marriage married two of Louvica C Veach?s sisters, Lucinda and Fanny Veatch. It was at the home of Zephaniah and Fanny Porter that Nancy Jane Prather and Oliver P Light were married. Pressha also had a daughter Christina, whose name ties them in with this Truman Hilton. Truman?s son James also married Ary Prather, a niece of Lloyd B Prather, daughter of his brother John. Another of Truman?s dts Aletha married Aaron Holeman. I wonder if he is related to Mac?s Ray family; a daughter of Gov James B Ray married a Holman. This is the same part of Indiana, further south.

Genforum: Truman Hilton (1762-1829) & his wife Christena (1768-1823) had a son Emsley (1800-1854). This Emsley is buried next to his wife Ethelinda Harris Hilton (1808-1876). They are all buried at New Chapel Cemetery, Clark Co IN.

This is clearly a different Truman Hilton, from "National Intelligencer" Washington DC 1825, Montgomery Court of Equity. Wm W Harris, Percy Harris, Wm Harris, Dorcas Ann White, with Addison White, Jos Harris, Jr., Zachariah G. Harris, Rebecca Hilliard, with Samuel Hilliard, heirs of Mary Harris, vs. Wm Hilton, Truman Hilton, Sarah Hilton, John Harris, Wm Harris, Hezekiah Harris, & Nancy Harwood. Obtain a decree for sale of real estate; Nancy Harris by her last will dtd March 4, 1807, devised at the death of Sarah Harris, the sale of real estate in said County to be divided share and share alike btn the following surviving children, Nathan Harris, Barton Harris, Jos Harris, Priscilla Hilton former wife of James Hilton. Bill also states that James Hilton was appointed exec of Mary Harris but long since has moved from Md to Ohio where he resides without selling the said real estate. Defendants do not reside in Md. submitted by Greg Hilton.
