    R.W. Almon, a man well known in this section, dropped dead in Carrollton, Georgia last Thursday [Dec 2, 1909].

    Deed Book 2, 1894-1901

    p. 132 State of Georgia, County of Heard. This indenture made 26 December in the year of our Lord 1895 between Pernine (?) Walkins of the one part and R. W. Almon of the other part, both of aforesaid state and county. For and in consideration of the sum of $3,500 paid by party of the other part, to him sold and conveyed all of Lot # 102 except 30 acres in the NW corner. Said 30 acres being cut off by a ditch leading from the north line of said lot running eastward and entering into the Hillabachee Creek and containing 172 1/2 acres. Also all of Lot # 103 as lies north of the public road leading from Franklin via Texas to Rockville containing 54 acres, all in District # `3 originally Carroll now Heard embracing in the aggregate 226 acres. Land bounded by E. G. Kramer, Rufus S. Ridley, Willis Miller, the public road and Mrs. P. E. Wood. Signed by Pernah (?) Watkins. Witnesses T.J. Heard, W.D. Ridley, W.S. Hubbard JP. S.F. Lane CSC. Recorded 25 November 1895.
