    Enlisted: Nov. 5, 1861 and then into 3rd KY Inf. on Jan. 1, 1862

    Military stated they deserted on 04 November 1862 in Glasgow, KY
    1863- Logan Robbins (Robins) 5th KY Cav. and Pleasant Henry Sells were ambushed and killed (drowned). March 3, 1863. Their wives located the bodies and buried them in a common grave.

    Parents: Arter C. Robbins and Mary Elizabeth Winningham
    Arter in 1850 lived in Fentness Co, TN - a farmer, age 26 - born about 1814. Wife, Mary - age 31 (born about 1819 in TN). Surname spelled "Robins". Children: Logan age 12, Isaac age 11, Rachel age 11,
    and John age 10.
    Arter had a brother next door - Alfred Robins - age 30.
    By 1860 - Arter died between 1856 - 1859. Mary Robbins - age widow living in Fentress with children. Surname spelled "Robbins" Lived until 1905 in Overton, TN
    1860 also in Fentness Co, TN - Marshall L. Robbins - age 22 born in TN, married, wife - Louisa Sells (born Nov. 5, 1832) - age 24 and a child - (daughter) Melvina V. Robbins - age 5 (born 25 JAN 1854 in Overton).
    1890 - Louisa Robbins in Overton, Fentress Co.,TN - listed as widow of Logan Robbins on Veterans Census
    Louisa Sells Robbins died 20 APR 1914 in Tennessee. Buried at Sells Cemetery, Overton Co., TN
    Melvina V. Robbins married Peter W. Richardson in Sept. 22, 1871 in Overton, TN. He was a farmer. Their children: David Solomon Richardson, Henry Alex Richardson, James Logan Richardson, Thomas Harrison Richardson, Samuel Harvey Richardson, Bradley Richardson, Eddie Richardson, Liza (Louisa) Jane Richardson, & Ida Ann Richardson (plus additional children - 13 total - 11 alive in 1900). Melvina died 23 SEP 1933 in Overton Co., TN. Buried in David Richardson Cemetery, Overton Co., Tennesse. Peter born Dec. 1847 - died April 13, 1905. Daughter Ida married John Newton Stover -- their daughter was Versie Melvina Stover (who married Charley E. Pryor).Versie and Charley's daughter was Martha Pryor.
    Eddie Richardson married Gerogia Dennis - their son - Rupert Samuel Richardson (born 1922 in Overton, TN)

    Ambushed by Champ Ferguson - a Confederate partisan ranger and guerilla fighter. (Ferguson acted as a scout for Genl. John Hunt Morgan, and was for a time attached to the command of Genl. Joseph Wheeler. His company was under Wheeler's command when they took part in the Battle of Saltville (Virginia).
    At war's end in 1865 - Champ Ferguson himself was summarily arrested, and charged with over 50 counts of murder. Found guilty and hung.
