PENTON, Lige Bennett, Sr., 84, a resident of Wetumpka, AL died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in a Montgomery hospital. Mr. Penton was born in Coosa County, AL, the son of the late Johnny Joe and Roxie Ann Penton. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Penton; son, Lige Penton (Judy); daughter, Jenny Westbrook (Don); four grandchildren, Donny Westbrook (Paula), Bennett Westbrook, (Beverly); Kathleen Penton, and Kelly Penton; two great-grandchildren, Boone and Lige Westbrook. He is also survived by three sisters and four brothers. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 1:00 PM from Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00? 8:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children's Harbor, 1 Children's Hwy., Children's Harbor, AL 35010. Pallbearers will be Donny Westbrook, Bennett Westbrook, Ed Bice, Larry Leach, Dave Morgenstern, and Dennis Wiggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul DiPofi and Ted Price.
