  • Death: 1948 in Tustin, Osceola County, Michigan

  • Note:
    Ann Holmes:

"Agda's parents had immigrated from Sweden, hence her long name. She went by Ida. She was born March 15, 1885 in Tustin, Osceola County, Michigan and died in 1948 in Tustin. (Tustin is a small Swedish farming community.)

Ida and the kids moved back to Tustin to Ida's brother's farm. They fixed up a storage shed as a little house with an attic nextdoor to the "big house," where dad's uncle and widowed grandmother lived. The little family received survivor benefits from the company that owned the factory that was responsible for Fred's death. The country entered the Great Depression, and their benefits were stable. So although they didn't have alot, they had a steady, adequate income and felt very fortunate in that way."
