Hi William, Wow that was quick. I just added the post-it today. I was surfing aroun d for the Ingles & came upon your site through Ancestry.com. So nice to h ear from you. How are you connected to Mercie & Edmund Ingles? Thanks t o your posted info, I was able to fill in some blanks concerning Mercy Ma nn Ingles. I didn't know that she & Edmund moved to Ohio. I did find her Obituary on the City of Cleveland Public Library Necrolog y Files Online. Mercie died at the age of 90, May 24, no year, so I adde d 90 to her birth year & came up with 1946 as the year of death. It state s that she is the grandmother of Gladys Spieth, Mercie Knuth, Hurbin Ingl es, and Ed Stocks, Funeral May 27th at the home of Mr & Mrs Harry Spieth , Brunswick Ohio. Burial at West Park Cemetery. It doesn't say what cit y the cemetery is in. ....what I can do is scan my handwritten forms of Mercys family & send i t via e-mail if that is alright with you but I will give you some basic i nfo now. I have spouses of some of the other Mann kids also, plus some other inte resting info concerning the Stewarts & Manns. The Manns were in the big f ires in the thumb area of Mi, Oct 1871. This is documented in a few book s available at Book Stores. I will send you a newspaper article written i n the Detroit Times, April 9, 1935. It is the recollections of Rachel Man n Stewart, 75 yrs old remembering fleeing with her siblings & neighbors o n a boat to escape the fires, and the story is truly heartbreaking becaus e her brother Herman died on the boat as it drifted out on Lake Huron tow ards Canada. They were trapped for 4 days on the boat, soaked & starving. I will scan the article for you. More later, Jean
