    File AFN:174J-DFV lists Samuel, Stanfort William Standiford's
    oldest child, as born in England. If true, this would clearly
    identify Stanfort William Standiford as the immigrant of the
    line. rootsweb posting of E. J. Flowers, citing a Langston
    Family File: According to a family member, three Standiford
    brothers came from England. Two were convicts for not paying
    taxes. William had the family money. They came on different
    ships. Records found in the book IMMIGRANTS FROM ENGLAND; see
    passenger lists. The brothers got together in New York or
    Maryland. William and David were the only two who had
    children. William was the first Standiford to go to Maryland.
