THIS IS AN UNVERIFIED RELATIONSHIP. . .

It is known that Isaac Robertson was born about 1759 and it is thought he was born in Connecticut. He was reported to have been born "on the Connecticut River," which I think is an euphemism for illegitimate. I believe that his father was a Robinson, and most likely Zenas Robinson. He is reported to have served in the Revolutionary War as an Ensign, probably under the surname Robertson. After the War he married Mary/Polly Dow and they are reported to have had eleven children. We know the names of nine, and two of those names suggest that Zenas Robinson was his father and that Zenas's half brother Solomon was a significant person in Isaac's life.
