Text: !GEN. OF SPRINGER FAMILY by Coha J. Jolliffe, dau. of Amos M. Jolliffe &
Elizabeth E. Whalley, January 1894:
M.C. SPRINGER says her name was LADY BEATEA JACOBINE HENDRICKSON, who became
LADY CHAMPION to the QUEEN OF CHARLES X.
Another account, CHARLES SPRINGER by -------- says CHRISTOPHER marr. BEATA
SALINA, eldest dau. of DR. BALTZAR SALINIUS, for many years Physician to King
CHARLES X. At any rate, the 2 BEATEAS are the same wonman.
This research was done by MR. ANTIN OLSSON of Stockholm in 1951/52. Dr. OLAF JAGERSKOLD of the Swedish Royal Archives recommended MR. OLSON to COURT- LAND B. SPRINGER, for whom the work was done. Before the research was fin- ished, it was thought MRS. SPRINGER'S death date was 1714.
From CHARLES SPRINGER 1658-1692
When BEATA SALINAS' husband died in 1669, DOWAGER QUEEN HEDWIG ELEANOR, widow of KING CHARLES X, immediately selected BEATA SALINAS for a place in her service. BEATA SALIA SPRINGER would be well known to the DOWAGER because of her father's service to the KING & her husband's 40 yrs of service in the government. She became the QUEEN DOWAGER'S Royal Housekeeper at Gripsholm Castle, across the Malar Lake from Stockholm. There she died & was buried Dec. 17-1693, in front of the choir of the church at Mariefred, near the castle. The inscription reads, HER MAJESTY'S, QUEEN DOWAGER'S ROYAL HOUSE- KEEPER, BEATA SALINA, LIES BURIED BENEATH THIS STONE.
CHRISTOPHER moved to Stockholm, Sweden, where in 1654 he was married to Lady
BEATEA JACOBINE HENDRICKSON. (HENDRICKSON may have been from prior marr., as
her father was Dr. SALINIUS.)
