Post Office address, Fulton, Itawamba County, Miss. Soldier enlisted November 21, 1814, discharged May 6, 1815. Served afterward from [Blank], 18__, to [Blank], 18__, in Captain [Blank] Company, Colonel [Blank] Reg't. Declaration and identification in due form, filed April 6, 1871.
            SERVICE FOR SIXTY DAYS SHOWN AS FOLLOWS: Report from Bounty Land Division shows service of Hezekiah Coleman from November 21 1814 to May 6 1815. Total service, 167 days. Soldier died Dec. 31, 1855, date and fact established by the declaration and report from B.L. Div warrant issued to widow. Continued widowhood since his death established by testimony of Nathaniel Davis, W.R. Bounder and J.J. Carmack and C. Wiggles. Marriage to soldier prior to February 17, 1815, established by a certified copy of the family record showing the date of the marriage of the parties on January 1, 1811 and affidavit of Nancy Lyle testifying to cohabitation in 1812. Maiden name of claimant "Belew" or Ballou. Said record shows birth of children in 1812 and 1814. Oath to support the Constitution of the United States subscribed. Non-receipt of pension declared.               On this 10th day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty five, personally appeared before me, a Justice of the Peace, within and for the County and State aforesaid. Elizabeth Coleman aged Sixty years, a resident of the County and State aforesaid, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of Hezekiah Coleman deceased, who was a private in the company of Georgia Militia commanded by Captain Waters in the war with Great Britian declared by the United States on the 18th day of June, 1812 that her said husband was drafted in Jackson County in the state of Georgia in the fall of 1814 for the term of six months and continued in actual service in said was for the term five or six months and was honorably discharged in the spring of 1815 on account of peace being made. & that he made application for bounty land under the act of September 28th 1850 and received a land warrant No. 17998 for eighty acres, which he legally disposed of & it cannot be returned. She further states that she was married to the said Hezekiah Coleman in the County of Union in the State of South Carolina on or about the 20th day of March A.D. 1811 by one John Lane a Justice of the Peace and that her name before her said marriage was Elizabeth Belew that she did not receive a marriage certificate and does not know whether or not any public or private record of said marriage exists. That her husband died at his residence in the County of Itawamba in the State of Mississippi on the 30th day of December A.D. 1854 and that she is now a widow and has remained a widow since his death. She makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty land to which she may be entitled under the act approved March 3rd 1855, never having received bounty lands, or made any previous application.

              We Micajah Parker and McDonald Coleman residents of the county of Itawamba in the State of Mississippi upon our oaths declare that the foregoing declaration was signed and acknowledged in our presence, that we were personally acquainted with the said Hezekiah Coleman and Elizabeth Coleman his wife during the life time of the framrer, that we know that they lived together as man and wife and were acknowledged so to be, that the said Hezekiah Coleman is now dead and the said Elizabeth Coleman is now a widow and has remained a widow since his death and they further swear that they were personally present and saw the said Elizabeth Coleman make her mark to the foregoing declaration.

                            On this thirty first day of December A.D., One thousand and eight hundred and fifty Personally appeared before me, William F. Bishop, a Justice of the Peace, duly authorized by law to administer oaths with in and for the county and state aforesaid,
                            Hezekiah Coleman aged sixty five years, a resident of the County of Itawamba in the State of Mississippi who being duly sworn according to law, declares on oath that he is the identical Hezekiah Coleman who was a private in the company commanded by Captain John Waters in the Regiment of Georgia Militia commanded by Colonel Booth in the war with Great Britian declared by the United States on the 18th day of June A.D. 1812, that he was drafted in Jackson County, Georgia on or about the first day of October A.D. 1814 for the term of six months lacking a few days and was honorably discharged at Fort Hawkins in the state of Georgia, on or about the first day of April AD one thousand eight hundred and fifteen, on account of peace having been made.
                            As will appear by the muster rolls of said company that he received a certificate of discharge, but that it is destroyed.
                            That such is all the military services he ever performed and that he never received a bounty of land for the same, He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty land to which he may be entitled under the act granting bounty land to certain officers and soldiers who have been engaged in the military Services of the United States before September 28th 1850.
