age; Vol 4, pages 322-3. Trask William, Salem, one of the firs
t settlers before Endicot, perhaps in 1626. He requested adminis
tered to freeman 19 Oct. 1630, but was never swore in (that we c
an find) yet was captain in 1632, representative in 1635, 6, 7
, and 9, had command in the expedition under Endicott, 1637, aga
inst the Pequots. For that service his modest petition of 1661
, is printed in Genealogical Register VI, page 370, and the gran
t of 400 acres was then added to one of 250, bestowed soon afte
r the war of 1637. Of his children Sarah was probably eldest; M
ary, baptized 1 Jan. 1637; Susanna 10 June 1638; William 19
Sept. 1640; John, 18 Sept. 1642; Elizabeth, 21 Sept. 1645; Ma
ry, again born 14
Aug. Baptized 2 Oct. 1652; Ann 14 Apr. baptized 18 June 1654
; we are ignorant
if one mother bore all, but infer that the wife Sarah, perhaps b
aptized 14 Sept. 1656, named in the will of 15 May 1666, was a s
econd wife and had brought him the last three; and that the firs
t Mary, with Elizabeth and Ann were dead before that. He died a
t the age of 77 years very soon after the will bears date, proba
bly the next day. Of the daughters we know that Sarah, marrie
d 13 Oct. 1656, the second Elias Parkman; Susanna, married 19 F
eb. 1664, Samuel Ebborne, as second wife; and Mary married a Bat
ter, probably Daniel. See Wm son for the rest.
