    Esom has been described as a son of Curtis and Lucinda Durden, however no evidence has been found to support this so far.

    I found an Isham Durbin in the 1870 census for Ward 2, Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish (M593-512-1/pg 82A, Aug 3, 1870), age 22, born in LA reported as a domestic employee for James W. Dupree, a physician. Need to confirm if this is the same person as Esom Durden.
