    efore 1820 Benjamin and Nancy lived in Logan Co., Kentucky. They left Logan County in April 1836 and went to Morgan County, MO. Benjamin was a Baptist minister. He received his license in September 1814 in Logan County, KY. When Benjamin and
    Nancy joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Morgan County, MO, in August, 1836, they stated that they came from Poplar Spring, KY.
    The Ward-Madole information was furnished by Susie Phelps,a descendant of John Ward's eleventh child Lewis Banton Ward. She had researched both families. She believes the John Madole family record to be that of the brother of our Mary Madole
    who married John Ward (Sr.) Susie (Mrs. Earl) Phelps, now deceased wrote "The American Wards"
    She also believed that Nancy J. Madole who married Benjamin Jackson was a sister of John Madole and our Mary Madole Ward.
