Note: In 1885, AnnaBelle's father went to the Pocatello, Idaho indian
reservation and purchased several hundred head of indian ponies and
herded them back to Kansas where he planned on breeding them with draft
horses to develope a new breed. This adventure went well, but alas, the
breeding didn't turn out as he thought it would. AnnaBelle was very
active in later years with the National Extension, traveling world-wide
to national meetings. She traveled to Russia, England and China, among
