Note: John Ferguson 1755-1842 and his descendants John Ferguson was born January 15, 1755, in York County, Virginia. He lived there and enlisted in the Army during the Revolutionary War. He later moved to Guilford County, North Carolina. In 1811, he moved to Greene County, Ohio, and in 1813 to Wayne County, the part that became Union County, in Indiana Territory. In 1831 he moved to Boone County, Indiana. He applied for a soldiers pension on the 21st of April 1834, when he was a resident of Sugar Creek Township. He died there on February 14, 1842. He was married to Bethany deacons on May 26, 1828, in Union County, Indiana. As a widow, on April 10th, 1856 she applied for a Widow's Pension, in Putnam County, Indiana. She was aged 62. John's children from this marriage were: Jonathon, born the 7th of December 1829, and Bethany, born March 20th, 1831. In 1855 and Anderson G. Dinkins of Putnam County Indiana, stated he was at te wedding of the soldier and Bethany Dinkins. No relationship was stated. The Widow Pension # was W10777. Aaron Jasper Ferguson's wife Rebecca (Plunkett) Ferguson, died when the children were young, and they were farmed out to relatives. Aaron Ferguson was a cooper by trade. His sons Jesse and Frank, and a cousin Peter Ferguson, moved from Boone County, Indiana, after the Civil War, to the government homestead land in Otoe County, Nebraska. Peter and Jesse married sisters Eliza Ann Beasley and Susan C. Beasley. Jesse and Susan C (Beasley) Ferguson had three children. Jesse divorced Susan, and got custody of the children. He married Mary Ann Whited, when she was 16 years old. Frank Ferguson married Eliza Ann Davis.
