    This James Kenneday could be the son of William Kenneday, the brother of Sherwood Kenneday, Sr,. but as yet can not be proven.

    The 1850 Davidson County census lists James Kenneday as a farmer, 76 years of age, being born in Virginia. His wife Mary Kennedy, is listed as living with him,
    her age is given as 76 also and was born in Virginia.
    According to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery records, there is a James Kenneday,
    born January 1, 1775 and died October 27, 1855. Mary Kenneday was born January 31, 1775 and died October 9, 1855.
