McCartney Rites Held
Mrs. Rosie Lee McCartney, 81, of Sulphur died October 9, 1975. She had
lived in Mill Creek, Sulphur and Doughtery areas most all her life. She
was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services were here Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Dunn Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Jim House officiating. Burial was in Mill Creek cemetery
under the directions of the Dunn Funeral Home.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Jewell Harris, Los Angeles,Ca., Mrs.
Audrey Norton, Sulphur, Mrs. Dorothy Santana, Whittier,Ca., and Mrs.
Juanita Beach, Davis, three sons Beacher McCartney, Lone Grove, Willard
McCartney, Doughtery and Billy of Sulphur. Two brothers George Brummitt,
Bakersfield, CA., and Ivy Brummitt, Mill Creek, two sisters Mrs. Allie
Fuller, Mill Creek and Mrs. Maude Hart, Mill creek. Also 33 grandchildren
and several great grandchildren.
Pall bearers were J.P. Allen, Doc Braden, Charlie Kirby, Randall
Kirby,Bailey Brewer and Edward Brewer.
