    Branch, Tennessee in Cocke County. Jonathan and Sarah were
    probably married in Cocke County, Tennessee but this cannot be
    confirmed due to the loss of official records when the Cocke
    County courthouse burned in the 1870's. Jonathan and Sarah were
    the parents of seven children. Sarah's birth is recorded in the
    St. James Lutheran Church record book.
