    He and Margaret were married in Germany and came to the US July 4, 1874. They settled at Colesburg, Iowa with there small daughter Louisa Anna. They stayed there about 5 years and then moved near Hutchinson and Sumter, Mn and later going to Bird Island and Hector. From 1911 on they made their home with their daughter Louisa at Buffalo Lake, Mn.
