    #2 to a Mrs. William Arthur (may be Ann Murray);
    #4 to Joanna ? abt. 1744 (one dau., Sarah may be dau. of this wife);
    and #3 in 1742, to Ann Calvert (b. abt. 1724 in VA or England).
    William A. Arthur had 12 children (Barnabas through Anne with wife #1 Ann, and Frances through Millie with wife #2 Ann): Barnabas b. 1734; Susanna(h) b. 1736; Frances b. 1743; Anne b. 1741; Tabitha b. 1765, Jane b. 1745; William b. 1738-1746; Sarah b. 1755; Elizabeth b. 1744; Mary b. 1750; Jemima b. 1761; and Mildred (Millie)b. 1762;**
    It is reported that William and Ann Calvert or Ann Murray Arthur also raised their nephew, Benjamin Arthur (son of "Virginia" Arthur and unknown wife), after his parents were killed by Indians (unknown what happened to his brother;was he killed too?). Apparently Benjamin Arthur, raised by his Uncle William, later married his cousin, Ann(e) Arthur, daughter of William A. Arthur.

    dau. Tabitha m. Thomas Gooch 1789 in VA and had 9 children:Ann, William, girl, girl, girl, John, Nathaniel, Cynthia, and Tabitha Arthur Gooch, family emigrated from VA to KY abt. 1825-Tabitha d. 1828 in KY;
    son, William jr. m. #1 to Catharine McDaniel, and #2 to Elizabeth Dalton (b. 1741,dau. of Timothy Dalton)in 1762-William d. 1827 in VA-with Elizabeth Dalton he had 10 children: Jane, Elizabeth, Ann, William, Jechonias, Sarah, Barnabas, Martha,Susannah, and Jemima-all in Bedford Co., VA;
    dau. Frances m. Boyce Edison-Frances d. 1827 in VA;

    dau. Jane m. Henry Edison 1764 in VA;
    son, Barnabus m. Martha Talbot (dau. of Matthew Talbot and Minnie Jane Isham Clayton of VA) in 1758-they had 13 children: John, William, Francis "Fanny", Jane, Matthew, Lewis, Barnabus, Lucy, Caleb, Talbot, Elizabeth, Rhoda "Rhody", and Martha- all in GooseCreek, Bedford Co., VA;
    dau. Mary m. Field Robinson;
