Daniel GREENO had lived in Rhode Island in the early 1700's where his brother, Moses, also lived. Around the 1750's, he and Moses were sent by the authorities to the Lake George area in New York to watch over the Indians who had been very troublesome. While in Lake George, a friend of theirs, Asa CORILLIS, made a powder horn which had engraved on it representations of animals, birds, etc., along with the date (1759) and his name. Daniel brought the horne to Nova Scotia with him. It was passed on to his son, Robert. After Robert died, his wife, Mary, gave this powder horn to John Victor DUNCANSON of Falmouth, N.S., as a keepsake. (In June 1891, this John DUNCANSON was the owner of this powder horn.)
