    Alma Enterprise, 1 Sept. 1899, Obit of Julia Ann (Morrison) Jackson Tabor:
    Died, at her home in Alma, on Aug. 28, 1899 Mrs. Julia Ann Taber, aged 66 years 1 month and 24 days.
    Deceased was the daughter of Rev. John and Achaia Morrison. She was born near Muncie, Indiana, July 4th, 1833 where her early life was spent. In 1850 deceased was united in marriage to Wm. Jackson, who died Jan. 6th, 1866. Six children were born by this marriage two of whom are still living, Mrs. Mary Willey and Mrs. Margaret Smith, both of Alma.
    After the death of her husband she moved to Perry, Illinois, where on July 29th, 1866 she was married to J. D. taber. Four children were born by this marriage, two of whom are still living, Mrs. Effie Mossman, of Keene, and Mrs. Almira Hastings, of Alma. Emigrating to Kansas in 1869 ( actually 6 Oct 1870) and settling on a farmfour miles south of Alma(Where the poor farm was). Since that time she has made her home in Alma.
    She leaves to mourn her loss four children, twenty-two grand-children, and eleven great-grand-children. She also leaves one sister and three brothers, namely, Mrs. Margaret Ketterman, of Alma, Rev John Morrison of Smith Center, J.H. Morrison of Topeka, and W.H. Morrison of Alma. Her four daughters, her sister and brothers were with her when death came.
    In her early life she was a member of the United Brethern church in Christ, but of late she was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. She lived a consistent Christian life. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bernard at her home at 3 o'clock Tuesday, after which her remains were laid to rest in the Alma cemetery.
