Ervin Harvey Gibson Keener may not belong exactly under this family group
but it appears this was his family. He is found in1870 as a 3 month
old boy living with Rhoda Gibson and Mary Gibson age 2 in Franklin,
Macon County, NC.
In 1880, a 10 year old Harvey E Gibson is living with Isaac Newton Keener
and his family and listed as other. He is located again in 1910, still
living in the Sugarfork Community as Harvie E Keener. The names and
spelling keep switching places but this seems to be where he fits.
I am not sure if he was a Keener by birth or adoption but when he died
Feb. 21, 1955, he was buried at Mt. Moriah Cem., Goldmine Comm.,
Macon Co., NC with the family of Melvin Brownlow Keener, and M.
Brownlow Keener's children and grand-children. There are pieces
of this story missing that perhaps someone will share with us
some day.

one of this line. At some point before between 1880 and 1890 (when he married
under the Keener name) his last name was changed.
